WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) is proud to announce that Dr. Cameron Muir has officially assumed the title of Chief Medical Officer in addition to his existing title of Chief Innovation Officer. This new designation reflects Dr. Muir’s expanded leadership role, highlighting his ongoing contributions to advancing hospice, palliative medicine, and innovative care models.
Dr. Muir is a nationally recognized expert in the field, with a distinguished career as a physician, educator, and executive. His new title signals NPHI’s commitment to reshaping the future of hospice care through forward-thinking strategies and compassionate, patient-centered approaches.
Dr. Muir has been integral to the success of NPHI’s Innovation Lab and Center for Education, among other initiatives, positioning him uniquely to lead in this enhanced capacity. His leadership is expected to continue to push boundaries and expand the organization’s influence in providing top-tier care solutions.

Under Dr. Muir’s leadership, NPHI’s Innovation Lab continues to develop valuable resources for patients, families, and caregivers, as well as clinical guides and practice optimization tools to help NPHI members distinguish their care above that of other providers in the community. These initiatives reflect NPHI’s dedication to empowering its members and enhancing the quality of care delivered across the hospice and palliative care landscape.
