NPHI welcomes new Regulatory & Compliance Director, Margherita Labson

Washington, DC (8.5.21) The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) is excited to welcome and introduce to the membership, our newest staff member, Margherita Labson. Margherita is an expert in home care quality, legal, and regulatory issues across the home care continuum. Additionally, she is an experienced clinician holding certifications in healthcare quality as well as case-management. She has experience working with home health organizations and providers delivering community-based palliative care, including over two decades serving as the Executive Director of the home care program for the Joint Commission.

“We are thrilled to have Margherita Labson on the NPHI team and introduce her to the membership. Margherita’s experience in advancing frameworks of care and specifically advocating for palliative care will provide our members with excellent support and guidance,” said Tom Koutsoumpas, CEO of NPHI. “Given her vast knowledge and experience, Margherita will play a crucial role in promoting our core mission to provide patients and their families with the highest quality advanced illness care.”

Currently, Margherita serves on several boards including the Home Centered Care Institute, Healwell, California-State University Institute for Palliative Care, and the Florida Palliative Care Coalition. Her extensive background and comprehensive knowledge allow her to successfully promote regulatory compliance, advance thought-leadership in the industry, and foster contemporary practice models with the goal of improved outcomes of care.
