NPHI Welcomes Blue Ridge Hospice

[WASHINGTON D.C.] March 18, 2024 – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), the national voice for not-for-profit hospice and palliative care providers, proudly announces the addition of Blue Ridge Hospice to its esteemed network of over 100 not-for-profit advanced illness, hospice, and palliative care providers.

Blue Ridge Hospice, a community-based, mission-driven not-for-profit hospice, has been a cornerstone of the Northern Virginia community since its establishment in 1981. Committed to providing high-quality healthcare at every stage of life, they work tirelessly to care for individuals facing terminal illnesses, and their families, while helping them navigate grief.

“We are delighted to welcome Blue Ridge Hospice to NPHI,” stated Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO. “Their dedication to delivering comprehensive and compassionate end-of-life care aligns perfectly with our mission to ensure that individuals and families facing serious illnesses receive the utmost comfort and dignity throughout their hospice experience.”

Blue Ridge Hospice’s commitment to offering quality end-of-life care is evident in their patient-centered approach. They empower patients to remain as independent as possible in decision-making and honor patient and family choices while addressing individual needs. With a focus on managing pain and symptoms to enhance patients’ quality of life, they provide support to anyone affected by death, dying, and loss in their community.

“On behalf of Blue Ridge Hospice, I am looking forward to collaborating on advocacy and education initiatives with other dedicated NPHI members,” said Jason Parsons, President and CEO. “Patients, families, and community members deserve a holistic approach to care, and I am grateful to be working toward that goal together.”

As Blue Ridge Hospice becomes an integral part of the NPHI network, their dedication to excellence and compassionate care will further strengthen NPHI’s collective efforts to enhance the lives of individuals and families across our nation and beyond.
