NPHI Welcomes Hudson Valley Hospice as its Newest Member

[WASHINGTON D.C.,] February 26, 2024 – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) extends a warm welcome to Hudson Valley Hospice, the newest member of its network of over 100 not-for-profit advanced illness, hospice, and palliative care providers.

Hudson Valley Hospice, a leading not-for-profit hospice provider, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families in their community. With over 640 patients receiving various levels of hospice care, Hudson Valley Hospice recently opened The Hudson Valley Hospice House, the first freestanding hospice inpatient facility in Dutchess or Ulster County. Their commitment to helping individuals receive care in the safety of their home, avoiding hospitalizations, and maintaining comfort and dignity, underscores their mission to provide compassionate care and assistance throughout life’s journey.

Hudson Valley Hospice offers specialized services catering to a wide range of needs, including pediatric care, cardiac, dementia, and lung care, along with dedicated programs for veterans. Complementing these services are grief support, music therapy, an end-of-life doula program, and even pet adoption programs — all delivered by a team of high-quality full-time and volunteer staff members.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hudson Valley Hospice to NPHI. Their mission to help individuals receive high-quality care in the safety of their home, avoid hospitalizations, and maintain comfort and dignity aligns perfectly with our work and mission at NPHI,” said Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO. “We look forward to collaborating with Hudson Valley Hospice to advance quality care for individuals and families facing advanced illness.”
